The best newsletter $$$ can buy?

Foolish ?

What is foolish about paying to produce a newsletter that goes out to the people who belong to an organisation? And also to those who do not belong but live in the neighborhood? How else would you let people know what is happening?

Again.....S-L-O-W-L-Y

Let me try this again....S-L-O-W-L-Y

1.Board runs off talented volunteers.

2.Board attempts to produce several newsletters - embarrassing.

3.Board ''covers up'' poor decisions and quietly HIRES professionals to do work of former VOLUNTEERS.

4.Board does not openly disclose that membership dues are going towards formerly volunteer efforts, even when asked.

5.15 months later, Board announces ''cost-savings'' approach by reinstating volunteer produced newsletter.

...Really not such a BIG deal, but interesting to watch!

Well, sort of...

Well, sort of.
Volunteers should not really be insulted.
New VOLUNTEERS did'nt assume it all - and that's the POINT.
IT WAS PAID FOR...........very quietly.

Gotcha

Oh, OK. Now I get it. Gave yourself away with ''Board runs off talented volunteers'' .

Sorry not the way it happened. More like ''talented volunteers quit in infantile reaction when they can't control everything, leaving a mess for others to sort through''. Were they on ego trip or did they really care about their neighborhood?
