Keep an eye out for nails and screws, especially around the park, near the exits from the construction areas.
I have been picking up nails every week and yesterday I found over twenty at the intersection by the park. It may take a little effort to stop and pick up a nail, but I figure that every one someone picks up saves a homeowner a major headache.
