Our home values.. Up or Down?

messy house

Trust me, I'm thrilled that you don't live next to us. First of all, the clothes were put up by the person who was housesitting. We were out of town for two weeks and had no idea it even happened until we got home and had a letter from the HOA in our mailbox. I would never do something like that because I know how horrible it looks. As far as the yard/house being a complete mess, well i just don't understand that. We always mow our yard, we keep the trash can hid and we don't have weeds. I'll admit that sometimes the yard is a bit cluttered but that's because I have between four to eight kids at my house at any given time. I'm sorry if you don't like the sight of bicycles in my yard. You're just going to have to get over that. My kids and their friends are more important then what you think of our house. I don't know of any house in this subdivision that has kids that doesn't have a bike or something in the yard at some point during the day. I'm sure your house isn't picture perfect. At the end of the day if my yard is cluttered because I was too busy spending time with my kids instead of obsessing over my yard then i'm ok with that. Ten years from now that's the only thing that will matter. If you don't like it, go back to the beach.
Messy yard?

If your yard is cluttered with toys and such then you are the nuisance.
The excuse that you have children doesn't cut it. If you have that many kids then I have to wonder if your operating a daycare out of your home.
That of course would be considered a business which would be in violation of state and county ordinance not to mention HOA covenants.
At my house when your done playing with your toys to put them away, but then again that is called disipline. Some have it and some don't.
I wonder if your the house that I have to watch out for all the time because of the unattended children playing in the street.

messy house

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. I do not run a day care out of my home. I have four children and their friends come over. At my house, my kids do put their things away when they are done but seeing as how they're on and off their bikes all day long I don't make them put them away until they are done for the day which is usually around 8:30 p.m. Also, my kids do not play in the street and they are not unattended. They know to watch out for cars and to move as far to the side as possible without going into someone's yard or driveway when they see a car coming. Even if I stayed right next to my kids when they are playing it wouldn't stop the cars from flying past my house. My guess is you're probably one of those drivers. The point is I don't consider my house or yard to be a mess because there are a few bikes left outside during the day especially when there are so many other houses in this neighborhood that have trash cans in the front yard, high grass and weeds, or cars parked in the yard.
Messy house LOL

I live across the street from the ''messy house.'' Just let me tell you guys something, picking on a neighbor who has toys, bikes, skateboards, and kids in their yard is completely ridiculous. We live in a FAMILY neighborhood with 3 schools within walking distance. I know for a fact the children are disciplined and are very attentive when they are riding their bikes. Bascially having children and toys DOES NOT decrease the value of your home, however no one wants to move to a neighborhood with a JERK who doesn't like kids, so take a hike! Oh and just for your rudeness we may discontinue cutting our grass for a while!
