In April 2000, JaxPride selected Ft. Caroline Club Estates South Civic Assoc, Inc. as the winner of the "Neighborhood of Distinction " for Y2000. On May 19, 2000, Mayor John Delaney presented the group with a plague in recognition of the commununity beautification and clean-up projects it had accomplished during the year. The award was presented at the Mayor's annual Environmental Luncheon.
