The men and women who run city government here in fort Oglethorpe are good people and do a good job and yet Aristotle's observation still applies. Why? Because each of the giant corporations are bigger in themselves than the whole of city government. Take Home Depot or Lowes', Costco and of course Wal-Mart any of which have revenues larger than the city and for that matter even larger than the state budject.
All that's left for city officials to do is to cooperate and all that's left for us ordinary citizens to do is to fit in and try not to get crushed.
