City Council Reps

Posted in: W Meadowbrook
Does anyone know what, if anything, our City Council Representatives are doing to help us in getting our neighborhood back? Kathleen Hicks, Frank Moss, Danny Scarth....they are the ones who should be fighting the hardest and asking for City money FOR US...their constituency. Where do they all stand in this fight? What have they done for us lately? How much money are they asking for and where are they asking it be spent? These are the people that should be working the hardest FOR US? Are they on board? Also what are the leaders of WMNA doing? Neighborhood Affairs Chair, City Affairs Chair? What's up? Who is doing what?

WHO AND WHAT

I'll be happy to answer as best I can, but know this. Although I do understand the inclination to be anonymous at first, it is always best to get involved....perhaps as Neighborhood Affairs Chair, City Affairs Chair. This or any neighborhood association can always use the help.

Kathleen Hick is by far the most effective council member in getting things done for east and southeast Fort Worth. The problem is that we need so much in our area that it is difficult for her to decide how thin the help can be spread. She is constantly asking, but there are also 8 other members of the council who are also asking, and most of them have a great deal of private money backing them. Danny Scarth is bought and sold by the gas drillers and must kiss up to them, and Frank Moss is newly back at the job and I'm not quite sure where he is headed.
Over the past three weeks, members of this association have attended no less than 5 community forums. All in an attempt to make our area better by whatever steps we can. Members of WMNA are also busy every single day on code compliance issues, development and redevelopment initiatives....and asking for more money!
If you are asking because you just can't stand it unless you get involved...you would be welcomed with open arms!
