What were the results from the vote in last nights meeting?

We will lose in the end. I can't believe there are that many people so clueless. Mark my words- White Lake Hills will get the shaft now. Wait and see.
I think the most absurd thing I heard in that meeting the other night was to vote against the project because of the Dallas Cowboys moving to Arlington. Jerryland moving in 10 miles away will have NO affect on our area- NONE.
And the city officials that seemed to sway the committee have something they're not telling and the committee was too blind to see it. Just wait, in the end there will be 33 people saying, ''We told you so!''.

When the democratic process works everyone WINS! 204 against the project compared to 33 for the project is more than just a defeat for this project, it is a clear message that the community does not want low income rental projects in east Fort Worth, and more importantly, they do not want residential rental properties at that location (Oakland and IH30) at all. In the last 10 years, this is the 3rd time we have had to say no to rental projects there.
Finally, it is a ''win'' for all the surrounding neighborhood(s) because we now know that the city owns the property, which of course means that YOU own the property, and can decide what YOU want on it or how it is to be marketed and/or developed. The possibilities are endless! Let's get to work.
