Same problem, different forum

For reasons I don't pretend to understand, getting people to participate in forums and blogs is like pulling teeth. Some are on so often that you think they own the thing, but most seem to wind up as lurkers. Once in a great while, they'll pipe up with a comment or two but mostly they're content to hide in the bushes and watch.

I run a hobby related blog called Scaleworld and I have the same problem. On occasion I've posted something deliberately designed to be controversial and still gotten no responses.

You think they just don't want to get involved?
