Save East Fort Worth

Posted in: W Meadowbrook
Become involved in your community. Let your elected officials hear from you and call 911 on any and everything you see that is dangerous including panhandling, drunkeness, etc. These calls are monitored and the more we call, the more officers we will get in our area.

Saving East FW, Are you willing?

Involvement and a strong resolve are the only cures for what eats away our streets and communities. In the past ten years I have watched the streets of East FW deteriorate because real US citizens are lazy and apathetic. Save your neighborhood and report renters who violate city code issues. Have you ever seen a meth cook or drug dealer openly ask a city official to inspect their property? If you see substandard buildings in residential neighborhoods, trash in or about the yard, cars parked in yards, or if you hear loud trashy music then leave a complaint with the city. Stop slum lords from renting to undesirable elements of society by reporting their properties and tenants. In my immediate neighborhood we have seen the meth lab shut down and rap and hip-hop is no longer a profane nuisance.

If you see unusual and frequent traffic visiting and leaving a residence at all hours, day and night, call the Police Narcotics Unit. If you see groups of young adults walking together, acting suspiciously, wearing ''thug'' clothing or gang symbols then immediately call 911 with a description. If see graffiti, then gangbangers have been there. Call the police because they can interpret the violent, puerile message left by the knuckle-draggers. Tired of the influx of law-breakers and others who defiantly ignore our laws, then use discernment when soliciting businesses. Ask who they employ.

These are a few ways to save our neighborhoods, cities, communities, culture, and nation, but I see few who are willing to make the effort, and fewer yet who are strong enough to take the heat for speaking honestly. Tolerance, multiculturalism, and political correctness won't heal the cancers in our culture. Unpopular but objectively honest perceptions and actions will turn our neighborhoods around. I challenge you to watch your street, take a stand, and act.
