South Hills had a meeting about gas wells in Feb. 2007.  A couple of hundred people came (and left early as soon as they got $ figures).  Neighborhood never got a chance to organize because they started on McCart side and worked their way inward.  At this time, closest gas wells are on the Southwest Baptist Seminary campus.  Some people around Vega Court area of South Hills are trying to organize but small number probably won't get any recognition.  Since so many residents signed up and took the bonus money, it's too late for much negotiation.

Cheaha will be at the school Saturday March 8th from 10 until 4 to sign up people that missed the last signing.  They will have all the leases with them and you just have to show your ID and sign. It is very fast and they will mail you a check in about 30 days. All people that are on your home title must be present to sign.

It is never too late to organize.  Even if you only get 6 or 8 people that want to sign, the gas companies will listen and you can make them an offer. They will want your leases. The leases are valuable.
