Poll: Are you signing the lease?

Posted in: River Trails
YES

I have said this in other forums but the committe did its research far more then most of us did and guess what all of them live in the area too so why would they recommend signing a lease that would hurt them as well as us think about it. I will take the money you can do what you want thats your decision.
Committee - what about health???

I think everyone understands that the committee did their research. And people are not concerned on what the committe considers ''good'' for our neighborhood based on the fact they live here. Its for reasons like: You Run the Risk of Becoming Sick From the Chemicals. The odors from the chemicals used in the fracturing process are making people sick. Chemicals like toluene and benzene, two of many chemicals used and released in the drilling process, are known to be toxic. Read this article in the Denver Post about many people living near gas wells getting seriously ill. This may be happening here. http://www.denverpost.com/search/ci_5828712 People in Colorado who live near gas wells are developing tumors on their adrenal glands. http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/05/05/fracking/

And this:Air Becomes More Polluted, Aggravating Asthma and Other Breathing Disorders. Emissions linked to drilling rigs, engines, and storage tanks in gas fields create more smog and air pollution. Tell me - did the committee consider these concerns when negotiating? I haven't seen these topics addressed by anyone from the committee. They can't sway opinions against what is fact.

what about health....

I will post this again under this topic: They have been drilling all around us for about three years are you aware of that? There is a lime plant next store, a recycling dump that has been abandoned and is a eyesore/health hazard, three (?) city dumps within 15 miles of us, a sewer treatment plant about 5 miles away, sewer lines that run south of us and a river/creek that overflows and blocks almost all our access in and out of the neighborhood!!!!!! People get real! We live in a great location but we have a lot going on around us already! And yes, I love my neighborhood, my family, my health and Mother Earth

By me
Why not add more health risks?

So basically what I think you are trying to say is - since we are already breathing toxins, leaving near city dumps & sewer plants with sewer lines running all around us -Why not add more? For money? Sorry, I do not follow your philosophy.
