Community Issues - Winter Issue '03

Jan 20, 2003

Significant time and energy by members of our community has been invested during the past year into a FHC open space habitat restoration program. The goals are many and include habitat improvement for native plants, control of our open space and long term reductions in the cost of grass maintenance in these areas. A presentation is scheduled for the January meeting and an article detailing the project is elsewhere in this newsletter.

Another presentation is scheduled to discuss the New Castle County Southern Alliance and what the alliance has to offer communities below the canal.

The last home in FHC has been completed and is occupied. We will soon be required to address topics relating to the Architectural Review Committee. Anyone interested in serving on an exploratory ARC committee to establish the ARC operational structure and format should attend the January meeting and speak with Al Frankel following the community meeting.
