It has been quite some time since we were promised water to our house. We have paid for the service which we were told was going to be available long before today. So, what is the hold up?
I find it interesting that we have given credit to those responsible for getting us water but we have not seen a drop of it. Why?
We have also just been informed that the Water district does not have enough money in their budget to pay back those people who do not choose to hook up. That amounts to anywhere between $3,000 to $1,800 (depending on where you live). How in the dickens did that happen?
Credit was given, now with whom does the blame lie? Some people have taken the credit and the bows for getting us this water line. Some were even re-elected based on their efforts to get us this water line. Will these same people ''step up to the pump'' (pun intended) and take the blame for the water still not being available?
I'm willing to bet they don't ever take the blame.
I am anxiously waiting for a reply to this. Let's see how long it takes for someone to respond. We have been promised better communication with the residents. We shall see if the campaign promises are just idle talk or if someone really cares about communicating with the residents. The clock is ticking.
