Here is what Trustee Doug Headley (and chairman of the paving alternative sub-committe of the paving committee) is expecting the cost for the paving to be
Doug's email:
Paving Alternatives Team
Next meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday July 23 at Parker Firehouse # 2
7 p.m Wednesday Town Meeting 31 July
GlenView High (sic) school east on Araphoe Road (should be Grandview as there is not Glenview High School in Colorado)
I have worked with Alan (town engineer) this week.
Alan is preparing a blended economy/standard paving for basic good roads at a reasonable price.
per our guidance shooting for 2.7 - 2.9. (this is $2,700,000 - $2,900,000)
I (Doug Headley) talked with bid/pricer at Aggregate Industries and cost of asphalt has gone up 5% since the last
election. It could well be up 5% more by next May. Good news is money is cheaper.
Doug
Folks this means the cost before interest is going to be approximately $11,328.00 per household ($2,900,000 divided by 256 homes)
