A Nuclear Family- Woodlake

Posted in: Woodlake
I have lived here in Woodlake for about 2.5 years now. I noticed that it is a cutesy little neighborhood with some upscale flare, but the second you turn your car onto Del Paso, you see a lot of druggies, hookers and tweeks.
I have had a man look in my window on more than one occasion (I chased him with my softball bat) and have had a friends vehicle broken into. Oh, and who can miss the bums that come through like clock work pre-recycle day to rumage through our cans at 1-2am. Where are all the police men?????
When I first moved in I saw a nightly patrol car, and it was great! but, now the only time I seem to see one is when they are sitting on the stop signs waiting to bust one of us for a California stop.
So, if any of you neighbors out there could pull some strings to get some cops watching our little nuclear family better, (not for mere traffice violations) could you?! PLEASE?

I second that!

I just moved to Woodlake in October of 2005. I have two small children and agree that I would like more security. We were thinking of getting an alarm? But I don't want to feel that way.

There are really good areas and nice houses.........but then we live closer to the Del Paso end (rather than the Canterbury/Woodlake end) and I see a lot of shady things going on.

We are really good people.........that love older neighborhoods......but hope to feel safe as well.
