Thanks for the responses.  So there are obviously conflicting reads on the existence of a neighborhood garage sale in 2010.  For the person that saw a posting, could you forward the location or link?  If this is true, then great. When I spoke to the HOA manager, he didn't know when there would be a sale, but thought that it would be in May.

Frankly, I'm not sure if this is the definitive website, or if one even exists.  I have not received a paper newsletter in ages.  So between the three of us and anyone else that might monitor site, I'll be having a garage sale at my place on 20519 Cliff Park Lane (May 8, 2010). Please join me and spread the word.  This announcement constitutes the grass roots neighborhood garage sale for Promontory Pointe (May 8, 2010)!

I'd prefer to have it when everyone else is having one, in hopes of increasing traffic, but it's been tough, so I'll go it alone and hope that others do as well.  I'll get a city permit and post signs around the Wilderness Oak and Knights Cross gates.  Spread the word and stop by--we have some good stuff for sale!

The reason these date was chosen is we have a very limited amount of volunteers.  We have to work around their schedule.  Out of 770 homes in our HOA there is about 15 volunteers in the social committee.  Of those 15 about 5-8 volunteer on a regular basis.
