Zoning Issues

History Made For "Lost City" of Fort Worth

In a small community between Haltom City and Fort Worth, history was made for the citizens on Carson Street and Elliott Reeder Road. At the November 9, 2004 City Council meeting Zoning Docket No. ZC-04-289 (CD 4) was unanimously approved to change the zoning from "AG" Agricultural to "A-5" One-Family Residential.

Citizens Elated Over City Council Approval

Zoning Docket ZC-04-118 - (CD 4) and Zoning Docket No. ZC-04-119 - (CD 4) These two properties were denied a zoning change from "AG" Agricultural to "Light Industrial."

Victory Celebration for Garden of Eden Neighborhood Association

The members of the Garden of Eden Neighborhood Association celebrated following the City Council Meeting on November 9, 2004 after the approval of their petition to change zoning from agricultural to single family. The purpose of their petition was to reclaim the neighborhood which sits on a historic piece of land. With the help of all the members, the support of the Planning Department and City Council Representative, Becky Haskin, the community prevailed.
