OK. This check is just a signing bonus and is actually estimated based on tax records. They are required, by law, to pay you exactly what you are entitled to no matter what the contract says. Remember, AFTER all the leases are signed, they will do title research and send out a survey crew to measure EVERY property. After that they will send another payment to make sure everyone gets EXACTLY what they have coming.

kbrooks, did you call them to find out what the deal is with your payment? I can't imagine why it would be so low unless they made a mistake. Should should definitely call them and ask them about it.

I think the confusion comes with hearing from Dale first.  At the 1st meeting we were told that we would get 100% of the signing bonus regardless of our mineral rights status.  My assumption would be that we got the same consideration with this company.  That obviously was not the case.  What a surprise when I opened my envelope.  Congrats to all that received their full amount.

Does anyone know if you signed your lease on the March 8th date, when the checks will be mailed out.
