Speeding

I am a board member and have been tasked with researching the best way to deal with our signage/speeding issues. I met with the Fire Dept. last week and have had preliminary discussions with the Planning Commission. I have left messages for the Police dept., but have not spoken with them yet. We realize that the sppeeding is bad and should have a clear path forward by the middle of May.

What is wrong with speeding?

I keep hearing that we need to address the problem with speeding. I would like to know what problems the community is suffering from speeders? Is it the noise? Has anyone been hit or nearly run over by a car? Have their been any accidents in our neighborhood caused by speeding. Our community needs to realize that some people in this neighborhood have the right to endanger the rest of us, to race to and from their homes, to scare us off the street if we try to walk anywhere. They are just more important than us, their time is more valuable than our safety. The rest of us need to know that the guy that drives the White Mustang, the other guy in the blue Stepside Chevy pickup, the yellow lexus and just about everyone that drives a white explorer are just too important to slow down. Just get out of their way. Hopefully, one day they will all crash into each other. Trust me. I have talked to some of these people, they don't care about you or me, they just are in a hurry, always running late or some other emergency. Let's face it, safety is highly over rated.

try worrying about the dog mess that people don''t pick !try worry about the garage that''s pack up on people patio !try worry about neighbor breaking the fence in the back to allow their cat to go in and out !try worry about people who don''t live here and park in the back to go to the restaurant.! no one is getting hurt so why worry about the speed that just 20mile the most!
