It is believed that the crimnals live in Cambridge. They most likely scope out residents work schedule or leaving routines and take mental notes. The time frame is from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. MIDDLE OF THE DAY.
Be supicious of 2 young males in their late teens/early twenties knocking on your door to cut your grass. This seems to be the plan to see if your home. If you are they move to your neighbors home. GET AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION (CLOTHING, SHOES, CAR, HAIR STYLE, BODY MARKINGS-SCARS,TATTOOS), CALL THE SHERIFF, WATCH THEM AND DETER THEM FROM YOUR NEIGHBORS HOME.
Scary for all homeowner's! We as neighbors need to UNITE and STOP this type of behavior before it is TOO late. Not only will the victims suffer, but ALL the residents will. The property value will decrease and our investments will be at a loss. Once this type of activity is known to the public newcomers will avoid this area...without the sale of home driving up the prices (supply and demand concept) the values will slowly decrease.
Neighborhood Watch Committee suggest for suppress:
1. turn on lights (porch- front and back, floodlights) WORRIED ABOUT THE LIGHT BILL? HMM...SEEMS LIKE A LOT LESS OF A PRICE TO PROTECT YOUR VALUABLES INSIDE YOUR HOME!!!!!!!!!!
2. beware of sounds and shadows at nightfall
3. get to know your neighbors - watch out for one anothers home
4. see any activity that you don't think should be in our community call the sheriff 791-1080 (obtain a case number and pass it on to the block captain)
5. patrol the neighborhood. contact your block captain to set up a time that you would like to volunteer for a time slot to cruise the neighborhood and see what is really going on.
AT KNOW WAY IS THIS INTENDED TO ACCUSE OR POINT THE FINGER....IT IS A WARNING... THAT WE HAVE CRIME HAPPENING IN OUR AREA AND WE ALL NEED TO BE ALERT. THE KIDS NEXT DOOR MIGHT BE WELL BEHAVED AND RESPECTABLE, BUT WHAT ABOUT THEIR FRIENDS? PEER PRESSURE IS THE EASIEST WAY TO CONVINCE A STRAIGHT EDGE KID TO TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE..
Also...drug trafficing is also becoming a problem in the area. Know WHO your kids are hanging out with...ask questions, be noisy....check the eyes for redness...increased or decreased eating habits. Missing money???? Sassy attitudes! Change of friends? All signs your children could be using. The worst part is the young kids they will be hitting up next!!!!!!!!!!!
