The Gilman School Neighborhood Association was founded in January of 2005 in response to neighborhood concern over the redevelopment proposal for the Gilman Street School (formerly the Waterville High School 1913-1963). As abutters we banded together to form an association. We identified many common issues and concerns and have created work committees, hosted potluck events and general meetings, we have partnered with Colby College to complete a survey of quality of life indicators, and developed a working relationship with the City of Waterville.
