The Glen Echo South Civic Association was founded in 1991 by Jo Thivener, its first president. Our interests are block-watch , neighborhood clean-ups, and whatever our
members would like to work on for neighborhood improvement. We lend yard tools also. We work with other neighborhood groups. The After-School program we organized at Medary Elementary is now in its second year serving 83 children thanks to funding received from the Columbus Foundation.
