I am hoping that Glenmuir HOA can structure a better location for the school buses that congest the entrance to Glenmuir. I have always been concerned about the children's safety, but have recently seen a huge increase in the number of cars that linger around the entrance and block a majority of the area.
Any input?

Discussions underway
This has been a big concern for many of us here in Glenmuir. The board is in discussion right now with the bus authorities from OCPS to determine if we can have them pickup inside the gates (a bit of an issue once the gates are closed 24/7). Since so many communities will be opening here along 535 over the next months, OCPS wants to develop a consistent policy that they can apply evenly across the board.
We are pushing very hard to make this happen.

Bus Traffic Problem !!!!
My daughter gets on the high school bus at 6.45am and it is not too bad, however I left the neighborhood last week a little later and was horrified to see the amount of cars which appear to be just left with no thought to safety. I admit we do have a problem but it is cleasrly not all the bus companies fault. I was thinking of trying to get a volunteer committee arranged made up of parents that are at the bus in the mornings and afternoons to patrol the area and try to get all the kids on the same side of the street and to encourage parents to THINK when they park, and perhaps park inside the gates to leave the area outside as free from traffic as possible. I would be interested to hear other parents comments and to see if anyone would be willing to head up the volunteer operation. I would do it but I am not around usually at that time of the morning...but I know many of you are. If we can start to make a difference perhaps we can then persuade the bus company to cooperate as well.
