Recent observations show that 60 to 80% of drivers do not stop at the 4 way stop signs at the corners of 72d Ave and 63d St and 72d Ave and 58th St.

Traffic Signals at 63rd & 72nd
I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe that traffic lights are only installed if a certain amount of car traffic is taking place (i.e., 10,000 cars a day). I'm not sure what the magic number is, but I can e-mail the County and find out what the process is. By Sheri Gormley |
