Again, last night, our GCIC coyote [or coyotes] was seen walking down the driveway between Block 11 and passing Block 10. On seeing my son, it crossed into the Block 12 playground. We have been seeing coyotes for approximately 5 years at night though friends have seen them in the daytime.
For all owners of small dogs, be very aware of your surroundings in the night hours while walking medium to small dogs. They definitely will attack smaller animals. Cat owners should be in the habit of keeping all of your cats inside 23/7. The eastern Coyote is larger than the ones on the W Coast. They appear to have interbred with wolves now and then so have a larger size and the lack of fear of humans.
