1. The mil levy provision was struck from the ballot. At this time the Water District has no funding.
2. Approval effectively blocks any other entity from absorbing and taxing Grandview for water purposes without representation or benefit, unless agreed to by the District.
3. Domestic and irrigation uses are the highest priority.
4. The boundaries of the district are restricted to Grandview Estates.
5. The purpose of the district is to benefit the residents by conserving, developing and stabilizing supplies of water for domestic (home), irrigation and livestock uses of the residents.
6. To educate and assist the public on water conservation and adjudication of the water rights.
7. Perform periodic surveys of the water levels of the aquifers within the district to predict when water levels may impact the ability of private wells to deliver the necessary water.
8. Submit future proposals to a vote for funding water supply alternative studies when the existing well systems appear to be inadequate.
9. Submit proposals for funding water supply development activities to a vote when necessary.
10. Act to prohibit the appropriation of water from under private property without written, legal, permission of the land owner.
11. Pursue the transfer of water rights from under the streets and open space from Douglas County.
12. Provide a governmental entity to decide when it may be in the resident?’s interest in participating in coordinated water supply plans with other districts.
