The traffic signal at US 42 and Highway 22 was struck by lightning during the overnight hours of Friday, January 13.
Crews are on site trying to get the signal operational again.
In addition, this entire signal needs to be rebuilt because we have new LED lighting that was installed about a year ago and old electrical wiring is still in place. When it rains or snows, we have problems with the old wiring shorting out the light. We have plans to completely rebuild this signal and the work should be complete within the next month.
