There's a wise old saying, ''Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.'' Well, folks, our gift horse )The Touchton Park,) won't win the Derby for sure. It seems that the 32+ acres gifted to the City actually has about 22 acres of undevelopable wetlands, plus an additional 1?½ acres needed for a pond to mitigate the loss of permeable area due to the widening of Touchton Road. So, start thinkig in terms of what you would like your taxes to be spent on to develop our 8?½ acre park. Then join your G.H.A.N.A. Task Force to have your wishes considered. I will publish news of City P&R planning meetings as they are scheduled. Remember: IT'S OUR NEIGHBORHOOD; OUR PARK; OUR DOLLARS.
