Hello Neighbors
My name is Joan Williams and I've been in Green Acres for 18 years. My husband and I are veterans of the US Air Force, I served for 12 years and he is retired. I moved to Green Acres because I LOVED the family friendly atmosphere and being able to sit on my porch and enjoy the beauty of a day, evening, or night in the "place to be". I live at 2167 Kingsbury Drive and recently my neighbor has erected a privacy wall. Not only is it out of code it is offensive, and a threat to the security of my family and I. I am attempting to attach photos. There will be a public hearing on November 20, 2014 at the city code office. When I have a specific address I will post it. Will you please join me at the meeting in my quest to have the wall at least made to city code standards. It is at least 6 feet and obstructs my view of the neighborhood as well as poses a security risk. If the family is allowed to keep the offensive structure you too could very well wake up one day...with a wall running along the property line of your neighbor. Please come out and offer your support in keeping our neighborhood...just that a neighborhood. If I wanted isolation...I would have move to a rural area and not GREEN ACRES...THE PLACE TO BE.
