The focal point of the GCHOA neighborhood is Lasley Elementary School and Lasley Park. The GCHOA unites the Greenbrier and Cloverdale areas, covering nearly 2,200 separate addresses from Mississippi to Jewell and Pierce to Sheridan.
GCHOA--Still Young at 18 1/2!!
The Greenbrier-Cloverdale Homeowners Association (GCHOA) was established in 1981 to serve those who live or work between Pierce and Sheridan streets and Jewell to Mississippi. We work to maintain and improve our property values and the quality of life in our neighborhood. Our work is supported enitrely by volunteers and annual membership donations of $10.
The GCHOA provides a neighborhood voice at public meetings (on emerging development/improvement issues). It works to fight crime by fighting grafitti and supporting Neighborhood Watch programs. Partly through use of cost-share programs, it funds neighborhood improvements--for example, a new trail, new trees, and a new picnic shelter in Lasley Park. It organizes neighborhood activities, like the annual neighborhood Garage Sale and street clean-ups. It publishes a newsletter periodically.
