Yes, let's work together. We don't all agree with our neighbors all the time, but we have to respect one another's choices. If you follow the community guidelines and support efforts such as fighting this substation, these are the issues that matter!

My comments were stupid?
1. I am not perfect.
2. I am a homeowner and care about Greenfield.
3. Annette Louder does not live in Greenfield.
4. School District is not selling land to IREA.
5. District is concerned about the legal fees if IREA decides to condemn the land.
6. District can not fight IREA alone.
7. HOA MUST support this community.
HOA meeting in May was closed to homeowners. Please attend June's meeting. We need to find out the boards position on this issue.

I'm confused
If Annette Louder is not a resident of Greenfield then why was she elected president? Why wasn't a resident elected president? If there were a HOA meeting, why would it be a "closed meeting"? What issues could be discussed that the residents would not be "allowed" to hear? I think I understand why there are so many negative words being said in this forum. For whatever reason, people are angered at the issues, with that; the authors of these letters are presenting their anger toward one another. I wouldn't think that is the best way to approach things. Nothing will ever get done if everyone is pulling in all directions. If I were to make a suggestion, I would ask for volunteers for an "issue" committee, for example, a committee for this IREA issue. Instead of anger being projected, perhaps one or two calm people could discuss the matter at hand and get a better result. I don't claim to know everything, but I do know people will listen to a rational approach versus a group of angry individuals. I hope this might help.

Declarant Control
According to the Greenfield bylaws, the Declarant, Village Homes, retains control over the Board of Directors until 75% of "the units" are "conveyed" to homeowners. This will take several years, so until then, Village controls the board, with 3 seats out of 5. Greenfield residents get 2 out of 5 seats. Since a majority rules, Village can "do whatever they want", including raising the HOA monthly assessment.
Why was it set up this way? Because Village Homes wrote the bylaws.
