Trash Removal - Bulk Items and Other Issues

Waste Management will collect large or bulk items. For each household, the first two bulk items picked up each uear are free. However, beyond the initial two items, there are additional charges to the individual homeowners for this service. Customers need to request a "bulk item special" 48 hours in advance of their pick-up day. Please call (303)797-1600 and choose the "residential" option. Please tell them you are a resident of Greenway Park. All bulk items must be bagged, bundled, or placed in containers. CHARGES DEPEND on THE ITEMS COLLECTED. One truck hopper full of trash is $20.00. Two hopper loads is equivalent to one standard sized pick-up truck loaded level to the sides of the truck bed. Some items have individual pricing: Water heaters - each $25.00, matresses -each $15.00, Box spring -each $15.00, Sofa -each $20.00, Hide-a-bed - each $20.00, Misc furnature (including washers and dryers) - each $15.00.

If you have accidentally been charged for one of your first two bulk item pick-ups, please call the Greenway Park office who will, in turn, call Waste Management.

Please do not put your trash out until the night before the trash is to be picked up. Many people are putting it out earlier whcih can cause problems such as trash blowing around. After the trash is picked up, return your containers to the garage, etc. no later than the morning after the pick-up.
