All,
A terrible thing occured yesterday. The Kentucky state Senate approved a new spending bill which cut the Westport Road project funding completely.
Understand that if this bill passes, the Westport Road interchange will not occur until the East End bridge project is COMPLETED, barring some unknown source of revenue being created to build other projects in Jefferson County.
Time is off the essence. This spending bill is coming up for a vote very soon (within 2 weeks). You need to call the following people:
Senate President David Williams (He is the mastermind of the deal). His number is below:
Phone Number(s)
Home: (270) 433-7777
Annex: (502) 564-3120
Work: (270) 864-5636
Below is our State Senator for Woodlawn Park. You need to let her know that this is a bad idea, as she voted in favor of the current proposal, only 2 people voted against it.

If they cancel the funding for this project, we will be left with a large number of empty, muddy lots, half built overpasses (yes, that's what those pillars are for next to the expressway) and traffic headaches for at least another decade.
