The library will host the following Travel Series programs at 7 p.m. on dates shown:
Tues., Aug. 26 ?– Tracing Shakleton: An Antarctic Cruise Experience
Tues., Sept. 23 ?– Colors of Provence
Tues., Oct. 28 ?– Adventures in Hawaii

If you enjoy reading, discussing books, people who read, and, perhaps, cooking, one or more of these book clubs at Schlessman might be to your liking:

Tasty Pages ?– cookbook book club. Meets first Wed. of each month at 7 p.m.

Book Talkers ?– an informal discussion group where people share what they?’ve read recently and recommend books. Meets second Thurs. of the month at 9 a.m.

Between the Covers ?– off for the summer. Resumes in Sept. to discuss Kissing the Virgin?’s Mouth by Donna Gershten. Meets third Wed. of each month from 2-3:30.

You can phone Schlessman at another number, 303-691-0458, to find out if your holds are in, how many items you?’ve checked out and their due dates, or if you have any overdue items, their titles/due dates. You can also renew items via the 303 number.

If you have Internet access at home, go to www.denverlibrary.org and place holds on books, determine the status of books you?’ve already checked out, or do research at Facts on File World Almanac, Grolier Online Encyclopedia, Health and Wellness Resource Center, Newsbank (full text of Colorado newspapers dating back to 1989), ProQuest (full text of NY Times and World St. Journal dating back to 1851), and/or Student Resource Center.
