I recieved a letter from the HOA today...We were fined for having a portable basketball hoop in our front driveway....This concerns me....and let me explain why...
We have lived here for 4 and a half years...We have ALWAYS stuck by our HOA rules...We keep our yard very nice and trimmed (unlike ALL our neighbors) We do not park our cars in the street over night or during the day (unlike ALL our neighbors) We bring our trash can out and back in on trash day (unlike ALL our neighbors) We do not have old beat up cars with spider webs attached to the bottom in our driveway (unlike MANY neighbors) We made sure this basket ball system did not stick out like a sore thumb...We want to know where our children are....we do not let them run wild in the streets....
We have had this up for 4 months now....NOW I get this in the mail....Can someone please help me understand this?! I believe we have bigger issues than a portable basketball system off to the side in my yard where you can barely see it from our very nice big tree unless you stop in front of my home and study it....But you can drive by all my neighbors homes with out stopping and see huge weeds and unkept houses and while dodging all the parked cars on the street that make it difficult to pass another car that is coming from the other direction....
I remember someone saying at one point it was OK to have a portable system in your yard?! Am I wrong here? I just do not get it..........
