HOA concerns

Posted in: Monterrey Village

Hi - My fiance and I are new to the neighborhood and the HOA has threatened legal action against us because some of our frontage trees browned this summer.  The trees are still alive and are recovering nicely.  We are having trouble reaching manager John A. Bourchier.  Has anyone had concerns like this?  Has anyone received a phone call back from Mr. Bourchier?  We know the trees will come back next spring, but we are wondering if it is worth the legal battle with the HOA.

WELCOME!!

Sorry about the tree issue you are having... I am upset because that is just down right petty.

They should learn about stuff like that before making you feel bad about your trees.. It takes a good three years IF THEY HAVE BEEN CARED FOR LIKE THEY SHOULD BE to see a beautiful tree sprout.  Since you are new to the Sub.  Then you get cut a break...that is how I see it.  I have a tree in my back yard that looks dead most of the time and it does that every year. But come the spring it becomes very full and green and is does down right breath taking....should of planted that in the front yard.  1st year you plant the seed, 2nd year you watch it creep, 3rd year you see what all your hard work has reaped.  Take the time to do your research and send them a letter back.  I would...educate the ignorant.  :)
