Did you ever get sound advice?  I need to do the same thing.  Dawn, Gretagreen Court

Some HOA's require a detailed drawing or sketch showing EXACTLY what you plan to add, change, or delete.  If in doubt contact an HOA board member for specific details.  Nothing worse than starting a project only to find out it's not authorized.

Some fencing "issues" include: type of material used, location on property, color of fence, and height to name a few.

In order to gain approval for projects such as fencing, there should be a) an acceptable set of criteria (engineering and otherwise), and b) a qualified person responsible for review and approval (not just someone who can read and twiddle their thumbs). It is ALWAYS mandatory that a project proponent deveops a project using defined criteria...NOT floating concepts that can cost money, produce unacceptable finished projects, etc. Otherwise there is no consistency...and we all know what lack of consistency can produce in terms of legal actions down the road!
