Saturday July 16th I recieved two certified envelopes from the mailman, both requiring signatures.  One was addressed to "current resident" and the other addressed to my wife.  The postage on each envelope was $5.59.

Trash Cans / Trash Violation - SECOND NOTICE

"We urgently ask that you correct this violation WITHIN 15 days."

The notice included an 8x10 photo dated 06/10/2011 of my home/driveway with the offending can near the garage door and my car in the driveway.  Also in the photo is the white female mother duck and her 13 half grown duckings.

Its a shame the photo wasn't taken early on the morning of June 23rd.

Someone maliciously ran over mother duck and six of the ducklings, and left the bloody mess right in front of my driveway for me to clean up.

Back to the trash cans:  There are rare times both my wife and I travel on business for a day or two, and they might get left out for a day.  Either leave the can in the garage for an extra week to stink it up or put it out for pickup and recieve a violation.

My business has picked up finally and we will be able to get siding and a new roof this year. I think i'll include a couple of surveillance cameras as well. We have had several car break-ins and people don't seem to care what they run over...

thanks for reading my rant.

Oy. Really?  Is there not something better they can spend their time/money on??  I think it's far more offending to see the dead ducks vs. the trash cans, but lord knows the HOA is not going to spend any time/money on that issue...as far as I see it, they probably see that as well as the anti-freeze issue as a acceptable form of population control.  I will too be installing a surveillance camera in the next couple weeks.

I have also in the past six months received the $5.95 certified notices from the HOA about trash can that could be seen from the street.  I had to go to the post office on the 2nd notice, stand in line for approx. 15 min untill I signed for the stupid certified letter.  I think the HOA should be more concerned about all the broken down cars/trucks that have expired registrations/inspections stickers that are parked in the streets.  Look at my HOA the vehicles should be towed.  Just think all your $$ going to pay someone to drive around in his/hers AC car getting paid for mileage and sending stupid notices for trash cans.

Thanks for reading another rant.
