First of all, I disagree with your unneeded ''ding-a-ling'' remark. Whoever that person was sounds like someone that does attend meetings, checks the website and has read the mailing/newsletters that have been sent out over the years. Also, that person sounds like someone that really cares about the community. You probably were told the money went for entrances but I know you were told it went for several other things besides that. It is your choice if you choose to ignore all the information you are given. As for your comment on the ''old smelly bar'', you obviously have not attended a meeting. If you had, you would know it is not in a bar. It has been held in the downstairs meeting room. You do not even have access to the bar part of the Amvets unless you are a member and you choose to. And your comment ''4 people that wish to play politics''--again--IF you had attended last year's meeting you would know that myself, Marsha & Traci resigned last year. There were only 2 people that volunteered to be trustees. Did you ever contact either of those trustees with your concerns?? Have you ever volunteered to help?? Have you given your own time to help in the community?? Have you ever stopped to think that there are 168 homes in this community, most of which have more than 1 person living in them, and there are less than a handful of people trying to keep all of it together??? Would you be willing to give hours and hours of your time to help?? And of course, that's in between your job, home, family and your other responsibilities! You rarely get a thank you for all your efforts and hard work, nor does anyone appreciate it. Why don't you take over as a trustee, see what's involved, do the work? Maybe then you'd have a better understanding of what's involved. And if you want, you can even come to my house & go through all the records--numerous letters & concerns addressed etc. Maybe then, you would have a better appreciation of what's going on in the Association. And you may ask, why am I still doing the paperwork etc. since I resigned last year--it's because I care. I know how much work is involved and did not want to leave the only 2 trustees with everything! You know, if everyone does just a little you can accomplish many things. Yes, it's easy to sit-back, complain, find fault, but instead why not try to help? There's no reason that we couldn't have a great community if everyone would just try.
