I would like to address your replies to 4 of our discussion topics.
Association: The trustees did not dream-up a little club for a ''position'' or ''title'', to threaten senior citizens, to take peoples money to line our pockets, make rules or form a communist society. M/I Homes created this ''little club'' and set down the rules & regulations. I am a homeowner, as yourself, that had no choice in the matter. But, I chose to try and help the community and my neighbors by becoming a trustee. We cannot work miracles for those unwilling to become involved or participate. I have spent countless hours in the last 3 years maintaining all the books, responding to concerns, updating the website, newsletters, etc. I have also put a lot of my own money into the Association for supplies that are needed to keep expenses down. Since you obviously do look at the website, have you noticed that it also states you may request a copy of the financial report from me or that the expenses are all posted so you know exactly where the money is spent. Since I am the person maintaining the bookwork, I highly resent your insinuation that I am using that for my own benefit. I have also had the complete financial statement at each annual meeting. Even though you choose not to attend, you still could have contacted me for a copy.
Dues: If everyone would pay their share each year, we could have a lot more in our community. But since some choose not to, it's all we can do to pay for the mowing of the entrances and detention area. Of course, the hard work of mulching, planting, etc, isn't paid for, the ''position/title holders'' and volunteers give their time for that. That ''stinking'' $30 you refer to could really be used for worthwhile projects in the community.
Who Cares: I DO and contrary to what you think, a lot of others in the neighborhood do too !!!!
If you need copies of any information, feel free to contact me. I would be happy to supply you with it.
Another ''position/title holder'' (Marsha) addresses your comments also. You may find her response on the ''Delinquent 2004/2005 Fee's Discussion.
