My famliy and I have been in our home for many years and absolutely love this community. However, I have a question, for many years I had no idea there even was an association. When we aquired our home we were not told of any association, no one came and welcomed us, no literature was given to us regarding this association. Until recently, there was a letter shoved in our door asking for money. Now, here is my question.... (I see many complaints regarding 160+ homes not paying) if people do not know there is an association how are they to pay fees?
There are very few originial owners of the MI homes that were originally built. Shouldn't there be a welcome or some letter letting new homeowners know that there is an association? Just my opinion.
Finally, we have lived here many years peacefully until recently, I am not sure when neighbors stopped being friendly and decided calling a number on the phone was easier than just letting a neighbor know something is bothering them. Or actually finding out if a neighbor is ok or something bigger is going in in their life. Just my opinion.
