I think we'd get a lot more homeowner engagement if we can redraw the Harney Heights Neighborhood boundary. It is just too big at this time.
I propose a split of the current neighborhood boundary in this way:
North New neighborhood name= North Boundary =Fourth plain, East = Devin, West = Grand, South = E 15th street/16th Street
Harney Heights = North Boundary = McLoughlin, East = Devin, West= Grand, South= Mill Plain
Until we split the Neighborhood so that folks can pursue relative improvements to their own current situation this Neighborhood organization is never going to get an active community participating.
I live off McLaughlin and have tried to engage but have struggled because I want to focus on my neighborhood, but I cant get traction. This neighborhood at its current size is really a small town, with about 5 subneighborhoods.
