Harris Park neighborhood is situated between the boundaries of I-275, 16th St N, 38th Ave N, and Haines Road. There are approximately 650 homes in our neighborhood. We are blessed with two parks - Kiwanis Park and Kelly Lake, both within easy walking distance of the homes within our neighborhood. We also boast the presence of historic Harris School within our boundaries.
Our neighborhood consists of an eclectic mix of architecture, and residents. We are, truly, a diverse neighborhood. Nearly all of the homes are single family. We certainly do qualify to associate our name with a park, because in addition to the two parks in our neighborhood, we have an abundance of beautiful, mature trees.
Our neighborhood historian, Betsy Sweet, will be providing information about our neighborhood in the near future. One interesting piece of information is that settlement in our area predates the City of St. Petersburg. Our roots run deep.
