FYI, here is the e-mail mentioned. I cut and pasted it here.
Whenever we had our crime watch meeting on 8/31, there was not enough time to cover everything I had on the agenda.  The one thing that seems to be the most important that was left off was about voting.

I need an answer from each of you as soon as you can to the following questions (answer all that apply for you):

1.  Would you like to make suggestions for a new crime watch chairman?

2.  Do you want to re-elect myself or someone else that has held a prior position in this crime watch group?

3.  How long do you think someone should serve as the Chairman, etc.?

4.  Are you ready to formalize this group further by having a set of By-Laws, Officers and Board of Directors?

5.  Do  you want to keep this group as it has been in the past, as a less formal group?

Thanks to each of you!  There are others setting up sub-committees in reference to the above things so I need your input as to what each of you wants done.  After all, this group is and always has been about our neighborhood group as a whole and your opinions matter.

Thanks!
Cindy Green, Chairman
Harry Stone Crime Watch - HSCW

1) I feel it is time for a new crime watch chairman.  Suggestions and or nominations for a new chairperson should be made at an open meeting of the citizenry of the HSCW area.

2) I feel a fresh face is needed.  No, I do not want to be responsible for re-electing you to a position that has as of late threatenend your health and well being.

3) The length of time someone should be chairperson should also be discussed with the HSCW citizenry at large.

4) Yes - I am ready for a solid foundation to be put in place for a new leadership group.

5) No - I want more formal structure with checks and balances put in place.

Thank you for asking for input from the HSCW general citizenry at large.

What is goin on? This posting reads like a power play of desparation.

Can't we do this in a small group?  Who are these paranoid "others setting up committees"? and even if they are, what is wrong with that when we have no crime watch anyway??

did no one read my comments back to Pecan in the next part of the disucssions? I said I thought our Cirme wathc has some serious problems.

This crime watch i have been told has been dormant for nearly 3 years and now more of the same?

yes it needs some formalization i would think from what i have heard and seen at that abysmal 8/31 meeting.

Neighbors wake up- we need change and need it now-

Here are my answers:

1. yes i would nomminate a new slate

2. No a new chairman is needed in my opinion

3. 2 years with option for one more term to be re-elected

4. already answered- YES

5. if less formal is whta we have now then no let's change it tigthen it up.

BTW- who are the other officers? I have never heard of any one but one person- our Chairman- is that right?

I am over and out and probably way out if things don't change.

Who needs this? Bunch of non productive infighting and no cooperation it sounds like form this chairman's remarks.
