RASH OF CAR BREAK-INS

I was told today that there has was at least one car stolen from the alley of the 300 block 41st street either this past Tuesday or Wednesday. The car was found on the south side with a broken steering column. Then Friday night or early Saturday morning is when several cars got broken into throughout the Valley neighborhood.

I found out today some neighbors will be patrolling the streets at night. Think I will do the same when I can. Too many large groups of juvs after 11:00pm. Make your presence known!

Car Break In's

At approximately 6:30 am Saturday morning (October 14th) I noticed the trunk of my car open. When I went down to investigate I found that both my car and my mother's cars had been broken into. There was nothing of value in either cars and except for a bag of 2004 Heart Walk White long sleeve t-shirts nothing was taken. The break in probably occured about 4:40am that morning. The dog woke us about that time and was barking alot, but the trunk was not open at that time and no one was visible. The theives/vandals probably hid behind one of the cars until the cost was clear.

The incidents were both reported to the police and reports are/will be filed.

So if you see someone other than myself or Dana in the valley wearing a 2004 Aurora Health Care Heart Walk long sleeved white t-shirt odds are they are in possession of stolen property.

We were able to get the windows replaced at Glass Pro Inc at 5835 A W. Bluemound Rd. The guys there replaced the glass in less than an hour for both cars and at about half what other glass places had quoted. The number is in the new yellow pages.

Re Crime Spree

Just wanted to add there were also 2 vehicles on St Paul between 41st and 42nd that also were broken into on Friday night which I believe is when all of this happened. Not sure if police were called regarding these vehicles or not but a stereo was stolen as well as tools from the vehicles.
