Once upon a time, there were three fountains in the ponds of Heartstone Manor. Pappa fountain and mama fountain lived in the big pond and baby fountain lived in the small pond. All three cleaned the ponds plus brought beauty to our complex. They were a source of community pride.
From time to time, one or more became gravely ill, but loving care always rescued them from the jaws of death- until now. This Spring, poor baby fountain became sick and, unlike earlier years, aid was not forthcoming. Baby fountain now lies in a coma under the waters of little pond. The little pond, an object of beauty when baby fountain was happily gushing water toward the heavens, is fast turning into a putrid green puddle of despair.
