WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT

While I can honestly say that winter is not my favorite time of year, it certainly is full of beautiful scenery. As I sit here and write, the first significant snowfall of the year is coming down outside. Great!!! I love to watch the snow fall as long as I am warm and comfortable with my favorite beverage at hand. I?’m not such a big fan of shoveling it, scraping it off the car, or driving in the snow!! Oh well, you can?’t have everything.

The Holiday Season is upon us, and if you are a procrastinating shopper, you still have at least 12 shopping days until Christmas! For all of you who were shopping in the wee hours of the morning on the day after Thanksgiving, I just want you to know that I admire your dedication and effort. I think you?’re crazy, but I?’m sure you got the bargains you needed for your friends and loved ones.

This time of year seems to bring out the best and the worst in people. For those who will be celebrating at various parties and family events, I say: be careful and always be in control of yourself! For those of you who had a tough year, I say: 2006 is just around the corner and with it a fresh start. Make the most of it!

Dues Drive Update !!!

Our annual dues drive is now underway! If you have not sent in your $30 check, please do so now! We appreciate your help in making our neighborhood a better place to live.

This is how we compile the list of names for our neighborhood directory, so if you want to be a part of the directory please make sure that you return the form we provided in the last newsletter with your check.

We hope to have a new directory put together for the spring quarterly meeting in March.



Winter Reminders:


?• Our snow removal contractors will be in the neighborhood plowing and salting if the snowfall is 3 or more inches in depth. In order to provide the best service we would ask that you not park your vehicles on the street if at all possible during a snow event.

?• Kappel Brothers will provide snow removal for your driveway at a nominal cost. Please feel free to contact them by phone at (317) 839-1585 if you need help clearing the snow from your driveway.

?• As you walk your pets -- carry a plastic bag to pickup after them.

?• Call Margaret Green (481-8044) and/or Randy Burket (248-1984) to report any crime or suspicious activities.

?• We have had reports of burglaries and/or vandalism that were not reported to the Sheriff?’s Office. Please call the non-emergency Sheriff?’s number (327-3811) to report such offenses.
