Dear Family and Friends,
You may be wondering - what's with the Hardy-Haven house?
Well, officially it is the Haven House and we want everyone to know that our little abode is the newest addition to the City of Santa Ana's Register of Historic Buildings, #228 to be exact.
F.Y.I. - The Haven family owned and operated in Santa Ana an important, internationally known seed business. The Haven Seed Company was best known for their excellent varieties of tomato and bell pepper seeds.
We have also entered into a Historic Property Preservation or Mills Act agreement - No. 00-01 - with the City. This agreement will give us a substatioal property tax reduction. This was my retirement gift to Jim!
Yes, Jim retired this year from Southern Pacific Railroad! He's no longer workin' on the railroad. He is using his conductor skills to get things in ship shape around Hardy-Haven! He is working on his many projects at home and does a lot of fishing in Mexico.
Our electrician son, Mason is on the mend after suffering a broken leg in an off road motercycle accident. He was in surgery Easter Sunday. Mason has gone back to school and plans to be attending C.S.U. Fullerton in the fall.
Our son, Ben and his wife Kendra have a new baby boy, Hunter James. He will be 1 year old this month. We are pleased to announce that little Hunter James Hardy is our First Grandbaby!
I'm still working at Concept Media located in Irvine. As of this month Concept Media is part of NurseWeek. Concept Media makes educational films to sell to hospitals and nursing schools. You can find me in the art department!
We Wish You & Yours a Very Merry Holiday Season and the Very Best of Everything in 2001!
Ginelle
