I am a little surprised that the majority of the postings on this website are comlaints. I have been living here 2 years and am pretty happy. No neighborhood is perfect and I think Hickory Hills is a decent place to be. I was not home on Halloween - the house was dark & I had no problems. I frequent the big pool and have only raised my eyebrows a couple of times. Most kids are there having a good time, unfortunately the teenagers do tend to get a little rough, but let's face it - they are teenagers. I think the grounds are kept nicely (except the front entrance & I should have been doing my part all along!) I've lived in many neighborhoods - none are perfect - you have to expect a little bad anywhere you go. I know people that live in a VERY high class neighborhood and they have had more problems than I have had here!!

Second That
I have to agree with you - I have been reading postings - GET A GRIP!! Find me a newer neighborhood that does not have construction going on and for goodness sakes - those Mexicans probably had a white boss that had them out there working. Give me a break about teenagers & bad parenting. As anyone who has teenagers knows - it is a hard business raising them & just because they stray every now and then (which hopefully they won't - but if they do) it does not mean that they or their parents are lower class citizens. GEEZ.
Yes obviously we ALL want a decent place to live and raise our children, but this is the REAl world folks, with real problems, not the world that was created for Truman. All in all a pretty good place to live!

I agree
I've lived many places and Hickory Hill is pretty nice. We chose this area over Brentwood because the people here were so friendly. I like my neighbors too.
