My opinion is that Wal-mart would be great for the city of Fairview and our neighborhood. My concern is that it needs to be in the city not on the edge of the city, actually in Nashville. We need the tax revenue and the growth that it would spur. TAx revenue from a retail store that size could help keep water & sewer costs down and allow the city to upgrade the system which is badly needed. Also - anything that creates jobs in this area creates demand for homes. I for one would like to see the value of ur homes increase. With the state having a hard time finding the $$$ to finish 840 - this may be the best opportunity for a new employer for our cituy for some time to come.
